The President's Challenge


Here I want to keep track of where I am and where I want to be, in regards to my personal fitness goals and what I know I can achieve. This include both official and unofficial measurements, inspired in part by our President Barack Obama being ripped. The President's Challenge is the one you remember from school, and they also have goals for adults of all ages. They measure fitness by:
 
  • Aerobic Fitness : 1 Mile Walk or 1.5 Mile Run
  • Muscular Strength and Endurance : Sit Ups and Push Ups
  • Flexibility  : Sit & Reach
  • Body Composition : Body Mass Index

Unofficially I measure fitness by the same way that most of us do; we all know when we are feeling healthy and when we are not. Regardless of your numbers, it is always important to feel in control of our personal health and do everything we can to keep ourselves as healthy as possible. We can do this through regular exercise, good nutrition, plenty of rest and developing our interests and doing things we love to do.
